The Veterinary Centre opened a brand new, purpose built clinic in Ranfurly, January 2013. The building is fully equipped to deliver a high standard of veterinary care, and includes anaesthetic and x-ray facilities. A wide range of services are available for small animals, farm animals and horses throughout the Maniototo, Matakanui and Strath Taieri regions.
The practice boasts skilled ambulatory vets, as well as trained In-Calf, Healthy Hoof, Mastitis, and Nutrition advisors who can help with your animal health planning, as well as assisting in disease investigations. The team has strong interests in both the sheep and beef, and dairy sides, and have been strongly involved with the Merino Feet First project, as well as some Mycotil footrot trials (watch this space). Our vets are dedicated to lifelong learning and upskilling so they can offer your business the most current, valuable knowledge to drive the profitability of your farm.
At the clinic we offer most medical and surgical services, including routine neuters and speys, and trauma repairs. More complicated surgeries may be transferred to the base hospital in Oamaru. The team is incredibly friendly, so don’t hesitate to ring up for an appointment today.
